Come Away With Me...

Leather Perfector...

So, i have been awaiting about two weeks for this little beauty to hit Topshop stores. I spotted it in their magazine a while back, which may i add is a delightful read and free to pick up!!! Perfect! I searched the website, google, allsorts to locate a picture and none could be found. But alas, there it was waiting in my Topshop email, in all it's glory!

Oversized Leather Jacket. £200.

Forget the reinvention of the biker (although i will still be sporting my studded beaut, that baby is going nowhere!) forget the tailored leather, it's all about the mans look. Be it vintage, designer or high street, leather is in, big style. If i had my way i would spend my life in leather, maybe i should have been a Harley rider??! From Grace Jones to Blondie to Bon Jovi, leather has rocked the ages and is still going strong. This may seem slightly on the steep side for Topshop, but a leather can be worn day in day out, smart, casual, winter, summer...pretty much an all rounder!!! A true investment piece!!!Xxx

Numero Uno...

  1. London
  2. New York
  3. Barcelona
  4. Paris
  5. Madrid
  6. Rome
  7. Sao Paulo
  8. Milan
  9. Los Angeles
  10. Berlin

Just a small list of the top ten most fashionable cities!!!!! And look at who is number one??! Good old London! They have put it down to the 'Duchess effect' (K-Mid) and of course the Olympics, however i like to think that we were top of the pops long time before either of these came about!!!

We got it going on!!!Xxx

For You!!!Xxx

Emmy's 2012...

All the stars were out in full force for the Emmy's of 2012. Some looking oh so right and as always, some looking oh so wrong. But we don't highlight the fashion faux pas over here, just put it down to a bad day? Week? Month? Whatever it is we have all done it at some point...oh i remember being 16 in my red DK...actually, i am going to stop right there and save that one for the Grandkids!!!!!

Claire Danes blooming in Lanvin.

Julianne Moore sporting Raf Simons' debut collection for Dior.

Michelle Dockery doing it for Vuitton.

Lucy Liu in Atelier Versace.

Julianna Margulies in Giambattista Valli.

Christina Hendricks showing her curves in bespoke Christian Siriano.

Leslie Mann in Naeem Khan. Seems yellow ruled the red carpet!!!

Tina Fey in Vivienne Westwood.

Joanne Froggatt swapped her servants clothes of Downton for the far more chic Vivienne Westwood.

Cat Deeley in a bright orange asymmetric gown.

Head on over to Vogue.com to see the rest of the fashion pack doing their bit for the red carpet!!!Xxx

Christopher Bailey Presents...

Yes, it is slightly delayed and i can only apologise for this. Here are the pictures from Burberry as promised. Sought out a whole week ago with a WHOLE week of waiting to upload. I understand that many have viewed but what a nice reminder to see again...

Metallics, brights, structured, tailored, colour blocked. Everything i love in fashion in one whole show. This is stuff dreams are made of. Electric!!!Xxx

MFW SS13...

A week packed full of work and no time to spare to blog. Something MUST be done about this. Finally i am home, on the sofa surrounded by Elle, Vogue and Company!! Numerous pages open on the tinterweb, street style, runway shows, news of moves, marriages, dresses, oh far too mych to report right now. Keeping up with the fashion shows via Blackberry isn't doing it for me. ESPECIALLY when dealing with an annoying cough and cold!!!!!

Now from rainy Leeds i am taking an imaginary trip to Milan. Far more glamorous and far dryer me thinks. I am dressed head to toe in Prada with the token clutch and stacked bracelets, sky scraper heels and over sized blazer...ahh we can but dream! I have been doing some runway stalking and here are the highlights of Milan Fashion Week SS13...

Vivienne Westwood.

Dolce and Gabbana.

Just Cavalli.

There is something seriously exciting about viewing the collections for SS13. Fashion is always one step ahead of the game and there must be nothing nicer than seeing it all in the overtly chic city of Milan. Gucci doing it with the brights, serious minimalism from Prada, floaty numbers form Missoni and florals from Etro. Definitely a season i shall look forward to with much anticipation!!!Xxx

A Waiting Game...

If you were lucky enough to not be working today then you will have seen the Burberry show live on Vogue.com! Oh how jealous i am of you!! Whilst i was out earning a living, putting food on the table you were all watching the likes of Cara Delevingne, Edie Campbell and Jourdan Dunn doing their bit for the British empire of fashion! Now i am the one hunting down pictures of the much sought after show to put up here, but you had to go one better and watch it happen infront of your very eyes!!!

So until i manage to come across photos then please click this link and enjoy every single minute!!!

Philip Treacy SS13...

Sunday night was the moment Phillip Treacy unveiled his SS13 collection. Held at the Royal Courts Of Justice it not only featured the old costumes of Michael Jackson but was introduced by none other than Lady Gaga!!!

The designer paid tribute to his late friends Alexander McQueen and Isabella Blow. The models followed Gaga down the catwalk in what can only be described as fantastical creations.

One of his master pieces even showed Jackson's white Swarovski cyrstal glove hanging amongst black leaves. All hail Jacko!

Treacy hasn't been at LFW in 12 years and he definitely came back with a bang! Using only black models, the designer gave no reason and the show went down a storm with Naomi Campbell, Alex Wek and Grace Jones sashaying down the catwalk.

Let's not leave it so long next time Mr.Treacy!!!Xxx

Red Label SS13...

Viv chose minutes before her the preview of her latest collection to shamelessly admit that no thought has gone in to the lastest line, she has simply been too busy with other projects. Well, i have to say that i am amazingly jealous of her ability to produce such a show with no effort, but i suppose that she is an old timer, this lady should have ideas oozing out of her!

Westwood never fails to come up with something so different to anything else offered in today's fashion! And SS13 is definitely way out there. Very summery in its feel, tennis gingham numbers, straw boaters, flowery head pieces, and even scrunchies for Christ sake! Oh hell 1997! Ladies reigned supreme on this catwalk, far less the Pirates Of The Caribbean as in collections of the past! Satin gloves, silk headscarves, cotton candy stripes, oh so fresh in it's making!

Westwood now spends her days working for charities, in particular in support of Cool Charity. It's main aim is to protect idigenous tribes from climate change. She now has a motto ‘buy less, choose well, make it last.' I suppose like every Mother believes, why buy something if you don't need it. Westwood even adds 'You should wait until you really need something before you buy it. In fact, don't buy this collection' but we all know that that doesn't work in the world of fashion! I would like to say to you that this is one Westwood collection that you shouldn't miss out on! This woman is like a fashion genius, but her advice against this collection is nothing short of silliness. You really are missing out on the most feminine Westood collection to date!!! Ahh what a refreshing change!!!Xxx
